SOUTHAVEN MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED IN INDIANA
A man wanted in a Southaven double murder case in 2020 was captured in Indiana after a traffic stop for speeding.
OLIVE BRANCH RECEIVES GRANT FOR MULTI-USE PATH
Olive Branch city officials this week announced a grant award from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) for a multi-use path encircling the future expansion of soccer fields at the city’s George Harrison Park at 8700 Church Road.
GOODKIND ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 7 SEAT
The House District 7 Republican primary on Tuesday, Aug. 8 is a three-person race with the official announcement by Goodkind.

Hernando city officials have approved the go-ahead of a Planned Unit Development that will be near the proposed Hernando High School campus and could be where a new YMCA facility could be located.
REEVES SIGNS NURSE RETENTION PROGRAM BILL
Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves has announced that he signed Senate Bill 2373 which creates the “Skilled Nursing Home and Hospital Nurses Retention Loan Repayment Program.”
